Last month, Microsoft announced the introduction of the Romanian language in Microsoft 365 Copilot.
With a total of 37 languages supported, this virtual productivity assistant is becoming increasingly relevant to global users.
How it simplifies everyday tasks
Copilot integrates perfectly with applications from the Microsoft 365 package, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook or Teams. Tasks that used to take up to 3 hours can now be completed in as little as 30 minutes or an hour.
In Word, users can easily transform text by adding references, summarizing content, or converting it to tables.
In Outlook, Copilot can summarize long emails and suggest responses tailored to the desired tone and length. There is even the option to respond in the form of a poem.
Smart functions for documents and meetings
Advanced features allow more efficient inbox management and writing impactful messages.
If you need to add a document stored on your computer, just type “/document” and the assistant will start scanning all your documents, emails and chats to find exactly what you need.
In Teams, the recap feature is ideal for those who have missed parts of a meeting or want a quick summary of their discussions. For example, you could ask, “Did X mention me in yesterday’s chat?”.
Do you have an interview with a potential employee? You can set Copilot to answer emails for you, saving you time.
New features
In September 2024, Microsoft introduced Copilot Pages, a feature that allows Copilot responses to be kept on a separate page.
This can be edited and shared with the team later.
Copilot Agents
These agents access the organization’s knowledge and data sources, facilitating complex actions and self-learning.
Copilot Studio makes it possible to create custom agents, making the process as easy as creating a table in Excel.
Focus on safety
Information provided to Copilot to respond to emails or make summaries is not shared with others unless you explicitly request it.
Moreover, the assistant does not keep data in memory, unlike other platforms like ChatGPT.
Learn continuously
Copilot is in a constant process of development and learning. However, there are challenges in understanding colloquial expressions and linguistic conventions in the Romanian language.
Experts recommend being as specific as possible when asking them to perform a task, to get the best results and avoid corrections later.
