Microsoft 365: Persistent crash problem to be fixed soon

Here “msls70.dll”-Bug

The ongoing crash problems surrounding Microsoft Office should soon be a thing of the past: A new patch will be released tomorrow that should fix the bug caused by outdated language packs.

About a month ago, the first reports appeared about a persistent bug in Microsoft Office. This resulted in crashes in common software parts such as Word, OneNote or Outlook, which occurred both during the regular typing process and when correcting spelling. How Born’s IT and Windows blog reported that this problem should disappear for a few days after an update before it reappears without warning.

In a support document, the Microsoft developers are now going into more detail about the bug: As suspected, an outdated language file is the cause of the frequent crashes. Various interim solutions have already been made available: Among other things, those affected can use the online repair of Microsoft 365 to download an up-to-date language file. Alternatively, it is also possible to switch to the online version of Office 365, but this is not an option for many companies.

Accordingly, the latest Entry in Microsoft Support Blog received with joy: As the developers announced, a new update will be made available on September 24th with Build 18025.20000, which should finally fix the crash problem. The update is usually installed automatically.
