After a long period of testing in closed beta phase, the app Microsoft Designer comes to iOS and Android and with it, the most powerful and accessible way to create images with generative artificial intelligence at the click of a button. promptjust as it already happens on the desktop.
This new Microsoft Designer app works in a similar way to how it does on the web: it offers templates with descriptions (the prompts) to help create an AI-generated image, custom stickers like on the web, emojis, and even image editing tools like Restyle and Replace Background. All really intuitive and within anyone’s reach.
Microsoft Designer also works as a free application, but with limits: the same 15 free daily AI image creation “boosts”which you can expand up to 100 if you have a subscription to Copilot Pro (22 euros per month, although includes more advantages).
On the other hand, Microsoft Designer integrates with different Microsoft products, from the Photos application in Windows 11 to applications from the Microsoft Office productivity suite, such as Word, Excel or PowerPoint, although in these cases the degree of functionality also depends on whether you have a subscription to Copilot Pro or Microsoft 365.
It is also worth remembering that Microsoft Designer is based on DALL-E 3, although it offers substantial improvements compared to it, as does Copilot, based on ChatGPT (in short: if you use it for free, Microsoft’s proposal is more powerful; if you pay, the original product is generally better).
“Use the power of generative AI to create engaging images with your words, design next-level designs that appear as personalized birthday cards, holiday cards, and your phone’s wallpaper, and even use AI to edit photos like an expert, like erasing the photo background. Create whatever you want, whenever and wherever you need it,” says the app’s description on the Google Play Store, where it already has more than half a million downloads.
Fancy trying out Microsoft Designer on your mobile? The app is waiting for you at Play Store para Android and in the App Store para iOS. On PC you can find it in the Microsoft Store, although You can use it directly from the web browser regardless of the operating system.
