Microsoft introduced Windows 365 Link. This is a Mac mini analogue that runs the cloud version of Windows 11

Microsoft introduced the Windows 365 Link mini PC. Its main feature is that it can only run the cloud version of Windows 11.

Windows 365 Link comes in a compact design and is equipped with three USB-A 3.2 ports, one USB-C 3.2, DisplayPort, HDMI and Ethernet. There is a power button on the front panel.

The company does not disclose the exact characteristics of the processor, the amount of RAM and storage. However, this does not matter since the device is designed exclusively to work with the cloud system. It comes pre-installed with a simplified OS, the main task of which is to connect to Windows 365 and broadcast the cloud version of Windows 11. Local file storage is not supported to improve security.

Windows 365 Link is designed for companies that want to move their employees to virtual machines. It supports dual monitors and peripherals.

Companies can customize the characteristics of cloud PCs running Windows 11. All management is carried out through the Windows 365 service.

Windows 365 Link will cost $365 (~36.7 thousand rubles). It will be available in the US in April 2025, followed by Canada, the UK, Germany, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. (The Verge)
