Microsoft most common for online scams

Microsoft is once again at the top of the undesirable list of companies popular with scammers.

It is a very common form of fraud that the criminals pretend to represent or come from large companies to trick their victims into trusting them.

Now Check Point Research (CPR) has presented its Brand Phishing Ranking for the third quarter of 2024, and Microsoft remains unchallenged first with a whopping 61 percent, while Apple remains in second place with 12 percent.

The second quarter’s third Linkedin, which then had a 7 percent drop, fell out of ten in the top list. New third is Google with 7 percent ahead of Facebook in fourth place with 3 percent.

Ten in the top list also received two newcomers in the form of the trading site Alibaba in seventh place with 1.1 percent, and Adobe in eighth place with 0.8 percent.
