Migrants began to be expelled from St. Petersburg more often

Compared to last year, the number of deportations has doubled.

Migrants are now being expelled from the Northern capital more often. The statistics were presented by the Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of the Federal Bailiff Service for St. Petersburg, Kristina Kashina.

She noted that, as of October 15, the total number of migrants expelled from St. Petersburg from the country since the beginning of the year exceeded 6.1 thousand people, while over the entire last year 3.6 thousand foreigners were deported from the city.

Kashina noted that most often citizens of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan are subject to deportation. Also on the list are citizens of Algeria, India, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Egypt and Cameroon.

Each deportee costs the budget an average of 27 thousand rubles, writes “DP” All deportations are carried out by air.

Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that the departure of foreigners from St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region has decreased, and crime among foreign citizens has decreased by 15%.
