“Maybe it will sound strange”: Milka Forcan is not afraid of Partizan’s debt
Milka Forcan, a member of the interim management of the Partizan Football Club, said that paying off the multi-million dollar debt that faced them when they took over the club is not unattainable and that one of the main goals of the new management is to improve the condition of the black and white youth school.
“We all know how big that debt is, it might sound strange, but I have to say that football is a sport where it may not be as big as it would be in another sport, that is, it is not so unattainable. In football, with a few quality transfers, things like this can be achieved. The bigger problem is the collapse of the club and the youth school, which has always been the jewel of Partizan and was one of the most prestigious in Europe. One of the priorities of this administration is to raise the youth school as a resource for future players,” said Forcan, as reported by the club’s website.
Forcan announced that next week the “Season starts now” campaign will start, as part of which season tickets with certain benefits will go on sale again, but also allow fans to buy standard tickets at higher prices in order to help the club.
“Each fan will be able to decide at what price to buy a ticket. The minimum prices remain the same as before, but it will be possible to pay up to 10 times more, depending on the price at which you want to help the club,” she said.
She added that the fans are the main driving force of the club’s new management. “That’s why you’re doing all this. It is that moment and emotion, the driving force that gives you the energy to fight this,” said Forcan.
The temporary administration of Partizan Football Club, led by president Rasim Ljajić, was voted on at the club’s assembly session last month.
