Mini has expanded the range for the petrol Mini Cooper S which now includes the John Cooper Works (JCW) equipment line.
Although it offers exterior and interior enhancements, this JCW trim does not improve performance beyond the standard Cooper S. That is reserved for the full JCW variants (petrol and electric) that will arrive soon.
However, improvements here include a sharper front splitter and a new rear diffuser, which complement the existing kit. The high-gloss black grille, emblazoned with the John Cooper Works emblem, is in harmony with the black accents on the aero components, roof and mirror caps.
The JCW trim further differentiates itself from the standard Cooper S with exclusive 17- or 18-inch wheel designs, as well as black brake calipers emblazoned with the JCW logo.
The interior boasts new sports seats covered in a mix of synthetic leather and multicolored fabric with red accents. The dashboard reflects this sporty theme with a black and red checkered surface. The rest is carried over from the Cooper S, including the round OLED infotainment display and configurable Mini Experience modes.
Under the hood is a standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine with 150 kW/204 hp and 300 Nm. Power is sent to the front wheels via a seven-speed automatic transmission, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds.
