Under the hood of the new JCWs we find the tried and tested 2.0 turbo petrol engine with 231 HP and 380 Nm of torquea, inherited from the previous model. However, the aesthetics have undergone a decisive restyling, with the introduction of a new central single exit exhaust and a bodywork with a renewed look for both versions coupé e cabrio.

Unchanged power, but improved sporting feeling

The new petrol MINI JCWs they maintain the same platform as the previous generation, but with some updates to adapt to the dynamics of the electric versions. The engine, a four-cylinder turbo from BMW, remains the only option available, with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The manual gearbox has been definitively abandoned, but performance is not affected: acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds for the 3-door version and 6.4 seconds for the convertible, with maximum speeds of 250 and 245 km/h respectively.

The set-up of the new JCWs has been further perfected, thanks to an electronic control system which ensures more agile and reactive driving, emphasizing the famous “go-kart feeling” which made the brand famous.
