Mirsarai Awami League leader’s body was found in the forest

The body of an Awami League leader named Abu Taher Bhuiyan (52) has been recovered from the forest after 3 days of disappearance in Mirsarai.

On Friday (October 25) at around 11:30 AM, Mirsarai Thana police recovered the body of the deceased from the forest of a leafy garden in Jamal’s shop area of ​​Mirsarai Sadar Union of the upazila.

The deceased is the son of deceased Mojibul Haque of Daulat Bhuiyan village of Jamal Dokal area of ​​Mirsarai Sadar Union of Abu Taher Bhuiyan Upazila. He was the president of Ward Awami League for a long time.

Mehedi Hasan, the nephew of the deceased, said that his uncle was murdered. A man from the neighboring area had been suffering from asthma since August 5. Tracking the number after the disappearance shows the Jaffrabad cluster village area one day. On Friday morning, young children saw the dead bodies on the side of the forest. Later, his uncle’s body was found at the spot. When the police was informed, the police came and took away the body.

Seeking justice for uncle’s murder, Mehdi said, there was no difference with anyone in my uncle’s area. Good relationship with everyone. Why was my uncle killed? I want justice.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Mirsarai police station Abdul Quader said that the body was recovered and sent to the morgue for post-mortem. A police case is under process in this incident.
