Misinformation is being spread against the army, the countrymen’s cooperation is sought: ISPR

Various foreign media and social media are spreading false and misleading propaganda against the Bangladesh Army. The army has sought the cooperation of the countrymen so that they are not confused by such misleading information and news of self-interested quarters.

This was stated in a press release from Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Sunday.

Mentioning that ‘some self-interested circles’ are spreading this propaganda, the notification said that the army is and will always be with the people for the benefit of the people and for any need of the state.

According to the ISPR, the main objective of this propaganda is to tarnish the image of the army at home and abroad. The army is conducting operations with the help of the civil administration to restore the peace and security of the citizens and restore the peace in the public life under the existing laws by upholding the constitution of the country.

According to the notification, the presence of the army along with other forces to control the law and order situation helps to quickly quell the anarchy.
