Mitsubishi applied a facelift to its subcompact SUV, so the car got a design, but also new technologies.
That’s exactly why I took a test drive from Mitsubishi Motors Romania, to see exactly what has changed, what the new ASX offers and how the Japanese subcompact SUV drives.
For 2024, the exterior design has been changed, especially at the front. The car received a completely redesigned bumper with a prominent grille, which is flanked by new headlights with full LED technology, included as standard. New wheel designs are also available, with a diameter of up to 18 inches, as we can see on the car in our presentation.
The rear hasn’t undergone much change, but the ASX can be easily spotted even at night thanks to the C-shaped light signature taillights.

Mitsubishi ASX offers new technologies powered by Google
The interior of the ASX facelift benefits from new materials, but especially from new technologies. We have a new digital dashboard, which measures 10.25 inches diagonally accompanied by a 10.4 inch central screen. Both display the new interface with integrated Google services such as Maps, Assistant and Play Store.
Google Maps is now the preloaded navigation service, with the ability to put the map directly into the dashboard display. Users can also download different apps from the Play Store, apps like Waze, Spotify say YouTube Music.
The example in our presentation is equipped with a full-hybrid engine, which develops 143 HP and can achieve consumption values of up to 4.9 liters/100 km, being able to travel almost 1,000 km with a full tank of gasoline. Currently, Mitsubishi Motors Romania has a special offer for the ASX, in the mild-hybrid version, with a 1.3-liter four-piston engine and automatic gearbox. The prices of such a configuration in Romania start from 25,585 euros with VAT included.
