In the future, this fully electric engine truck will be used as a daily operational fleet for Yusen Logistics Indonesia with operational areas in Jakarta, Cibitung and Karawang.
President Director of PT KTB, Daisuka Okamoto said, Yusen Logistics will prove that the application of green logistics (green logistics transportation) can be implemented in Indonesia.
“We hope that the Fuso eCanter can become a business solution for consumers who have a carbon neutral mission and values,” he said, in an official broadcast, Thursday (14/11).
KTB officially launched the Fuso eCanter in Indonesia at the same time as the 2024 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) in Serpong, Tangerang.
The second generation Fuso eCanter is the first and only electric commercial vehicle to date to be officially sold in Indonesia.
The eCanter specifications used by Yusen Logistic Indonesia are that it uses an M-sized battery with a capacity of 83 kWh, with a cruising range of 140 km with a GVW of 6 tons on one full charge.
Yusen Logistic Indonesia will operate the eCanter via distribution routes in the Jakarta area to Cikarang and Karawang, West Java.
For information, last year, Yusen Logistics Indonesia participated in a trial or Proof of Concept (PoC), and gave a positive satisfaction score for the truck.
By operating the Fuso eCanter on Indonesian roads, it will not only reduce exhaust emissions, it will also inspire other companies who are enthusiastic about going carbon neutral.
One step is to switch to using electric trucks that are environmentally friendly, have the best efficiency and support government policy of net zero emissions by 2060.
President Director of Yusen Logistics Indonesia, Tetsuya Aoyama, said that his party was proud to be one of the pioneers in the adoption of electric vehicles in Indonesia.
“We have introduced PT Yusen Logistics Indonesia’s concrete steps with the Fuso eCanter electric truck to all our regional branches and received a positive response,” he said.
“I am optimistic that the presence of Fuso eCanter in our business chain is the right investment for the future of a company that has a vision of sustainability,” said Aoyama.
To help consumers achieve the company’s carbon neutral target, Mitsubishi Fuso also provides full assistance to potential consumers to create an effective electric truck ecosystem with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) or carbon emission calculations.
KTB is also committed to providing the best after-sales service, through support that includes a purchase guarantee, free service and financing system facilities with an Operating Lease (OPL) scheme. (dpid/TH)
