DAPURPACUID – PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) is collaborating with the Mitsubishi DIPO group dealer in Pekanbaru to invite consumers to try the All New Triton.
Taking place on an off-road track prepared in the Labersa Hotel area, as many as 50 consumers from Pekanbaru and Riau Province were given the opportunity to test their toughness on dirt.
Seven units of the All-New Triton will be provided, consisting of the DC GLS, DC HDX and SC HDX variants, which are the models with the highest sales composition which are commonly used as operational vehicles in Mining, Plantation and Oil & Gas companies.
There is also the SC GLX 4×2 variant which is a variant with a 4×2 transmission and is usually used as a transport vehicle to support consumer businesses in various fields.
Of the total units, three units (DC GLS & DC HDX) were allocated for trials, while the other four units (DC GLS, DC HDX, SC HDX, SC GLX 4×2) were used as display units.
MMKSI President Director, Atsushi Kurita said, since its release in Indonesia in 2002, Triton has become a reliable operational vehicle that supports various important businesses in Indonesia.
“As well as being one of the market leaders in its class, even in difficult times for car sales like recently,” explained Kurita, in his official broadcast (12/11).
“In general, the All-New Triton comes with significant improvements and goes beyond a car, which not only supports business, but also accompanies customers’ life adventures to improve quality and achieve their life goals.”
Since its launch, the All New Triton has sold 218 units in the Riau region for the period August-October 2024, with a market share of 47 percent.
Meanwhile, Sumatra Province, especially Riau, contributed 13 percent to national sales of the All New Triton in that period.
Maximizing the Features of the Mitsubishi All-New Triton
Previously, MMKSI also invited around 150 customers from the fleet segment who came from various business and business backgrounds, to explore and try out the All-New Triton.
Participants were dominated by Mitsubishi Motors customers, especially Triton owners who have experienced the reliability and superiority of the previous model which supports their business.
At the test-drive session in Pekanbaru, participants were given the opportunity to drive on the route provided to try out and maximize the features embedded in the Mitsubishi All-New Triton.
The 600 meter long route is ‘filled’ with various types of paths and contours to provide experience for media test drive participants, as well as maximizing the superior features embedded in the All-New Triton.
The paths provided are flat off-road, muddy tracks, uphill and downhill tracks, tracks with lots of bumps, uneven paths, and side ramps/sloping tracks.
Before driving, participants are also given product information, safe and effective driving guidelines, and accompanied by a certified instructor appointed by MMKSI.
Through this direct testing, all participants were also able to maximize supporting features on tough terrain, such as the Selector Dial which can be used at speeds under 100 km/hour (GLS type).
Meanwhile, in the HDX variant, the wheel drive mode can be operated with a conventional lever system, with the same transmission options, namely 2WD (2H) to 4WD (4H, 4L).
Through this test drive, participants can also test the toughness of the new chassis that has been developed. The aim is to increase the strength, durability and safety of the vehicle.
Moreover, the chassis cross-sectional area is 65 percent larger than the previous model. Participants can also understand the All-New Triton’s ground clearance height of 222 mm, which is very helpful in off-road driving.
Apart from that, MMKSI has also made improvements to the suspension system to increase driving stability, while improving the overall performance of this pickup.
As is known, the All-New Triton offers several advantages for driving uphill, including Hill Start Assist (HSA), a higher Approach and Departure Angle than the previous model, as well as abundant torque and power from the start.
All-New Triton Specifications
Carrying the tagline ‘Turn ON the Beast Mode’, Mitsubishi Motors’ flagship pickup applies a new design, featuring the distinctive ‘Dynamic Shield’ design language on the front, which is highlighted by the T-shape lights.
The All-New Triton is equipped with a 2.4L 4N16 Euro-4 turbo diesel engine which is more powerful and more efficient, with 183 hp of power and a peak torque of 430 Nm.

The details are leather-wrapped seats, 8-inch Audio Head Unit, 7 Drive Modes, Dual Zone Climate Control, Wireless Charger, and 7-inch color LCD multi-information display, as well as other features.
