Mobile manufacturers, or rather not all, but most of them, have not followed a very nice trend lately. They’re really starting to dramatically increase the capacity of the batteries in their new phones, and we’re moving towards 6000 mAh as the standard. The expected novelty from Redmi will significantly exceed this limit.
Redmi Turbo 4 Pro with new generation battery
This significant increase in battery capacity mainly concerns Chinese manufacturers who are starting to use new battery technologies and this allows them to deploy a higher capacity without the need to increase the battery, i.e. in the end the device as such. Practically all flagships are already hovering around a capacity of 6000 mAh, and the middle class often goes even further.
If we don’t count specialized phones, for example the Realme Neo 7, the Red Magic 10 gaming series or the cheap model Tecno Pova 6 Neo reached the limit of 7000 mAh, which is already quite a lot. The planned novelty from the Redmi company will significantly exceed this capacity and it looks like we can look forward to a new record holder in this direction.
A real “turbo”
A known informer DCS has come up with information about Redmi’s new Turbo 4 Pro phone, which will be based on the Turbo 4 model. It will be introduced as early as January 2025 and should definitely be a very interesting device. The aforementioned informant mainly highlights the battery, which should offer a huge capacity of 7500 mAh.
This would be the highest capacity among traditional phones, and the good news is that the manufacturer will supplement such a large battery with adequate charging. This should offer a solid 90W of power, and other bits of specs point to a powerful processor, a flat display and a chassis of solid thinness and weight. So the phone will not be a galloper despite the giant battery.
When will the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro be released?
The release date of this model is still in the stars, but it is very likely that it will arrive at the same time as the base model Turbo 4. This will see its premiere in January 2025, and the good news is that this series will also see the world, under the name Poco F7 or Poco X7 Pro. So it looks like we will see these devices with giant batteries in Europe as well.
