In the meeting between Pardubice and Litvínov, the worst happened in the stands.

The incident occurred 14 minutes and 21 seconds before the end of the third period in almost the highest places, practically near the roof of Pardubice’s Enteria Arena. The rescuers, with the help of the firemen, quickly rushed to the inside of the stadium to find the supporter in question.

According to the website sport.cz, it was possible to see how they provide first aid to a person from the journalist’s positions. A few minutes later, the players were still helping another responder deliver a defibrillator to the scene.

The referee sent the players to the dressing room and the match was first interrupted. After about another 20 minutes, the referee called both captains to the ice. Lukáš Sedlák and Matúš Sukeľ were subsequently informed that the meeting would be terminated.

“Due to the intervention of the health service, the meeting was terminated,” announced the announcer. A few minutes later it was already clear that the worst had happened.

“A fan collapsed in the third period. Unfortunately, despite the significant efforts of the rescuers who resuscitated him, the worst possible scenario occurred. My sincere condolences to the survivors,” said Pardubice spokesman Jan Mroviec.
