Next month, Apple TV+ is set to debut the series “Monkey Business,” another collaboration between Apple and Warner Bros. Television, the studio responsible for such productions as “Ted Lasso,” “Lisey’s Story,” and “The Unstoppables.” Its first official trailer was released today.
“Monkey Business” will be an adaptation of Carl Hiaasen’s novel, about a demoted police detective currently working as a controller in the catering industry, who decides to take up his own unofficial investigation into the case of a severed hand fished out of the water, hoping that solving the mystery will allow him to get his old job back. The main role will be played by Vince Vaughn – an actor known for the series “True Detective” and the films “The Break-Up”, “Wedding Crashers” and “Block 99”. The main producer and screenwriter is Bill Lawrence – co-creator of the series “Ted Lasso”, which is one of the most popular and most awarded productions on Apple TV+.
The series “Monkey Business” will consist of ten episodes. The premiere of the first two of them is scheduled for August 14, while the next ones will be added to the Apple TV+ catalog every week on Friday.
