Moore Threads has finally brought DirectX 12 support

The company’s new driver makes it possible to run more than 500 games.

Back in March 2022, we first wrote about the graphics controllers developed by Moore Threads, and in November, their improved versions were presented, while in 2023, the MTT S70 was launched. However, the company is still working to ensure that the graphics driver reaches the minimum acceptable level, and at the moment they have taken a very big step in the right direction, as they have prepared the DirectX 12 implementation for the released hardware.

The new package that supports MTT S70 and S80 VGAs makes it possible to run more than 500 games, but for now it is a beta release and the company asks its customers to test the from the page below downloadable driver, and comment on its operation based on your experience.

By the way, the device driver in question is a fairly basic implementation, it doesn’t even support the new DirectX 12 functions, but it does support the basic capabilities, and this is enough for the vast majority of games to start. Performance is a different matter, since the MTT S80 mostly falls between stronger IGPs and weaker dedicated GPUs, but of course it is possible that it will improve, since we are specifically talking about the first DirectX 12 implementation, which means that there is still room for optimization.
