During the Exit music festival in Novi Sad, more than 15,000 aluminum drink cans were collected and sent for recycling.
That is 30 percent more than last year, the PR service of that festival announced.
This year too, the recycling campaign was organized in cooperation with the project “Every can counts” and the company “Ball Corporation” as part of the Green Exit program for the preservation of the environment and the promotion of a responsible attitude towards nature.
“This is the 18th year that we have participated in the Exit festival with one single goal, which is the promotion of recycling and the reduction of packaging waste. We sincerely believe that used packaging is a resource, not waste, and that’s why we advocate for its proper disposal,” said Nemanja Marjanović, representative of the “Every can counts” project.
Marjanović said that at the same time, the goal is to train young people that aluminum, from which drink cans are made, can be endlessly recycled, with minimal losses.
The press release states that during the festival, more than 40,000 pieces of packaging were collected and sent for recycling, of which around 15,000 aluminum cans.
