More than 20 thousand teachers have already recovered their service time

The number of teachers who are already feeling the effects of the recovery of service time rises to more than 20 thousand, with retroactive effect to September.

According to data from the Ministry of Education, the Renaissance had access, 8,007 teachers had their situation regularized in November, adding to the 5,924 teachers who already progressed in their career in September and the 6,966 who already progressed in October, also retroactive to September.

In September, the diploma that provides for the gradual recovery of frozen service time came into force, a measure that covers around 100 thousand teachers.

The agreement signed between the Government and seven education unions establishes a phased recovery of 25% per year, until 2027.

Since the end of June, schools have been updating the necessary data so that the recovery of service time has an effect on teachers’ career progression and salaries.

In addition to the more than 20 thousand teachers who already have their situation regularized, there are still 7,418 processes released by educational establishments awaiting validation from teachers and 1,557 teachers who validated the information, who are now awaiting confirmation from the school.
