Analysts conducted a study and found out how parents feel about their children’s use of gadgets. RT got acquainted with the results of the survey.

According to the survey, the vast majority (83%) of children have a smartphone.

“Approximately 75% have a computer, and the most unpopular gadgets among young users were smart watches (7.5%) and VR glasses (1.2%),” notes a study by a service for the purchase and delivery of well-known goods from abroad brands CDEK.Shopping.

At the same time, as experts have found, 53% of parents believe that their child should not be allowed to use gadgets until they are 12 years old.

“Slightly fewer (36%) of respondents would like their children to become acquainted with smart devices between the ages of nine and 12. And a minority agreed to allow them to be used from three to five years (1.3%),” the service added.

It is noteworthy that almost 64% of respondents noted that devices negatively affect the development of a child, and only 12.5% ​​notice a positive trend in the development of their children from the use of gadgets, analysts said.

It is noted that 46% of children most often play video games on their devices, 27% spend their screen time watching social networks, and only 7% consume educational content.

Parents’ biggest concerns about their children’s use of gadgets are internet safety (57.4%), social skills and communication (26.1%), health (10.8%) and technology addiction (5.7%).

Also, almost 48% of parents note that they would limit the use of gadgets by children, but to a reasonable extent, the survey emphasizes.

“It is noteworthy that only 11% would make no attempt to limit their child’s screen time, and 35% would do so without fail,” the analysts concluded.
