More than 50 tons of meat and fish were illegally put into circulation in St. Petersburg

The goods were planned to be sent to Moscow and Smolensk.

The St. Petersburg company complained to Rosselkhoznadzor about the use of its account by an unknown person to issue four veterinary documents for fish and meat products with a total weight of 52 tons.

Having studied the information in the Mercury system, experts determined that the products were intended to be sent to a Moscow company and a Smolensk enterprise.

As the press service of the North-West Interregional Directorate of Rosselkhoznadzor reported, due to the fact that the goods were not traceable and posed a threat to human health, the documents for it were canceled.

The department added that the amount of possible damage could exceed 29 million rubles.

Earlier it was reported that they tried to import into St. Petersburg a consignment of flowers from Latvia with dangerous insects, as well as a consignment of Indian rice infected with pest beetles.
