Key ideas and strategies developed at the sessions will form the basis for the future work of the National Center «Russia».

Addressed the event participants with a welcoming speech Vladimir Putin. He noted that despite the current challenges that we face today, it is necessary to set ourselves goals that are ahead of time, to outline new directions for breakthroughs, and to strive to look beyond the horizon of tomorrow.

«Let me emphasize the main thing – we must determine our future only ourselves – on the basis of a sovereign worldview, national culture, tireless creative search, and a firm commitment to undeniable moral and patriotic ideals and values. And then your wildest, most daring dreams will definitely come true. Our people have proven this more than once throughout their thousand-year history. He created a great power, opened the way to the stars for humanity, ensured the country’s leadership in the use of peaceful atoms, and made grandiose scientific and geographical discoveries. Both we and future generations must be worthy of our fathers, grandfathers and great-grandfathers», — emphasized Vladimir Putin.

First Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the National Center «Russia» Sergey Kiriyenko at the opening plenary discussion «Philosophy of the future» noted the intersectoral significance of the event, which encouraged the consolidated work of specialists from a wide variety of industries.

«The unity of the people is determined not only by traditions, but also by the vision of the future. If you want – a dream. And we, of course, dreamed and dream of a sovereign and strong country, a fair world order, where people of every nationality are given the opportunity to realize their talent, be happy and successful, and live in a safe world. And everyone who has gathered now at the International Symposium is making a huge contribution to this», designated Sergey Kiriyenko.

First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov
in his speech at the Symposium, he emphasized the importance of developing international cooperation in the scientific and social sphere.

«Humanity needs to work together. The symposium, which brought together representatives from more than 100 countries, is an important step towards understanding this need. I think you will agree that no state is capable of shaping the entire complex of technologies of tomorrow, it is simply impossible. We should cooperate, putting aside excessive protectionism, restrictions and unfair competition. Russia expects to become one of the key participants in such cooperation for the sake of the future; for this we have experience of effective work on global scientific and social projects of the modern world», emphasized Denis Manturov.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov During his speech, he noted that the history of Russia itself contributes to the productive work of experts from around the world.

«The entire thousand-year experience of our statehood and the achievements of our state, which will be vividly presented at the National Center “Russia”, should serve as a powerful incentive for the creative activity of our civil society. If there is such activity – and it always appears in crucial times – then, I assure you, diplomats will be your most reliable allies», — reported Sergey Lavrov.

Discussions within the Symposium were devoted to four key areas: the future of man, the future of technology, the future of a multipolar world, and the future of civilizations.

«The “Creating the Future” symposium became a vibrant platform for bold ideas and pooling of talent for a better world. Scientists, writers, futurologists, artists and technologists from dozens of countries gathered here to jointly create a new image of a fair, interesting and harmonious future.
