More than 810 hp Porsche 911 Turbo S is a sinister party

German tuner Techart loves nothing more than to provide Porsches with extra power and lavish spoilers and wing work. About three years ago, the company introduced the Techart GT Street R. This is a version of the Porsche 911 Turbo S that can be upgraded to 800 hp and 950 Nm and that normally squeezes 650 hp and 800 Nm from its biturbo six-cylinder boxer engine. This GT Street R, limited to 87 units, is being followed by this Techart GT Street R Monochrome. With this version, limited to 20 units, the German tuner is celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of the 911 Turbo. The new Monochrome versions based on the Techart GT Street R are ‘more than 810 hp’ strong, generate 950 Nm and are said to reach a top speed of 349 km/h. The Monochromes are decked out with the same carbon-fiber lips, spoilers, skirts and wings as the GT Street R on which they’re based. According to Porsche, the aerodynamic extras give the Turbo S up to four times more downforce at the rear axle than a standard example at 140 km/h (87 mph). Upforce at the front axle is said to be 45 percent lower at the same speed. The Techart GT Street R Monochrome—which also comes in a Cabriolet form—is available with three different rear spoilers that vary in visual intensity. One of them, called ‘Rear Spoiler III Duck Tail’, is the most historically accurate of the bunch. The Monochrome party also includes gold-colored Techart Formula VIII alloy wheels, a modified exhaust system, as well as a wide range of Monochrome badging and Alcantara trim in the interior. A lion graphic is applied to the bonnet in a monochromatic color scheme. Techart refers to the lion on the coat of arms of Höfingen, where Techart has its headquarters.
