More than a hundred people were rescued from a ten-story building due to a huge explosion

One person was seriously injured and nearly two hundred people had to be evacuated from the apartment building in Tapolca where a gas cylinder exploded on Sunday. According to the Veszprém County Disaster Management Directorate

It was reported that the balcony of the apartment collapsed as a result of the explosion, and a small fire also broke out in the kitchen of the property, which was extinguished by a firefighter on a day off. In addition to the professional firefighters from Ajka, Keszthely, Badacsonytomaj and Tapolca municipal firefighters, the Veszprém county disaster prevention operations service is also working on the damage. According to the Veszprém County Police Headquarters

the affected building wing was temporarily evacuated, 198 people left the apartments and were able to return to their homes within a short time,

with the exception of the residents of the affected floors, who can also return home after the necessary police action. The seriously injured person of the accident was transported to the hospital in Veszprém.
