More than half of workers would change jobs for non-wage benefits

A Remuneration is for European workers the main factor influencing the decision to accept or refuse a job offer and even their maintenance in the organization. But in Portugal the reality is different. If it is true that salary counts when accepting a job offer, it is not what makes a Brazilian worker be ‘loyal’ to his employer and refuse other job offers. The latest “Global Benefits Attitudes Survey”, a survey of benefits policies adopted by companies globally, prepared annually by the consultancy WTW, to which Expresso had access, shows that 54% of workers in Portugal would change jobs for exactly the same salary but for better extra-salary benefits.
