Developer NetherRealm and publisher Warner Bros. Games have officially announced a new DLC pack for Mortal Kombat 1 called Khaos Reigns. announced. Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns introduces a new story, new fighters, and the return of the long-awaited Animality finishing move for the characters. The first trailer is certainly exciting.
The DLC pack’s story is as follows: “After Fire God Liu Kang repelled the invaders that endangered the New Era of Peace, Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns expands the story campaign with an all-new cinematic narrative. When a dangerous threat arrives from an alternate timeline led by the ruthless Titan Havik, whose sole mission is to plunge the realms into Khaos, Liu Kang must rally his champions and rely on his enemies to defeat this grave threat. If they fail, the New Era will descend into anarchy.”
The three new Mortal Kombat fighters are Noob Saibot, Cyrax, and Sektor. All three will be available as part of the Kombat Pack 2, which will be released alongside Khaos Reigns on September 24. Kombat Pack 2 will also add Ghostface from the Scream series, the T-1000 Terminator from Terminator 2: Judgment Day, and Conan the Barbarian to the roster of fighters.
All Mortal Kombat 1 players will also receive access to the new Animality finishing moves that first debuted years ago in Mortal Kombat 3.
