Developer NetherRealm Studios has released a gameplay trailer for Takeda, the latest DLC for the Mortal Kombat 1 fighting game It was publishedTakeda joins the game on July 23.
Making his debut in the series in Mortal Kombat X, Takeda is Scorpion’s apprentice. In the trailer, Takeda clearly shows his influence over his master as he pulls his deadly double-bladed whips on his opponents. These blades also appear in one of the character’s Fatalities.
This will be the final character in Mortal Kombat 1’s first DLC pack, which already included five fighters (Quan Chi, Ermac, Omni-Man from Invincible, Homelander from The Boys, and Peacemaker from DC Comics). Those who own the Premium Edition of the game will be able to get their hands on Takeda. Ferra will also be the final extra Kameo fighter added to the DLC pack on July 23. While this is the end of the first Kombat Pack DLC, it’s worth mentioning that NetherRealm has more content planned for Mortal Kombat 1.
