Most people associate sex with pleasure, closeness and joy. But for quite a few women, intercourse with a man can be a painful experience – either sometimes or every time.
A frequent, but unknown and often overlooked cause of the pain is muscle tension. Just as you can have miosis in the neck or shoulders, you can also have it in the pelvic floor.
