A motorcycle patient named Tuhin (18) died after being hit by a truck at Santahar in Adamdighi Upazila of Bogra. The accident took place at Habir Mor Tinmatha area of Santahar Town (Bogra-Naogaon Regional Highway) at 10 pm on Sunday.
The deceased Tuhin is the son of Shimul of Fakirpara of Parail village in Raninagar upazila of Naogaon. He had been living in Santahar for some time as he worked as a mason’s helper.
According to local sources, Sumon Santahar, a neighbor of Tuhin’s village, lives in the electricity office area of the town. Tuhin eats daily at Suman’s house. Before the accident, Tuhin was going to Suman’s house for dinner with a motorcycle from an acquaintance. A Bogra-bound cargo truck ran over him when Habir reached Morr area. Tuhin died on the spot.
Confirming the matter, Adamdighi Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rajesh Kumar Chakraborty said, ‘The body of the deceased was handed over to the family on Sunday night after the legal process was completed. The truck driver escaped but the truck is in our custody. A case has been filed in Adamdighi police station.
