Motorcyclist Drdaj moved up to 17th place in the Dakar after a successful stage

Davadmí (Saudi Arabia) – Motorcycle racer Dušan Drdaj clocked the thirteenth time in the 6th stage of the Dakar Rally and, after the best partial result in his career, moved to 17th place in the overall standings. Australian Daniel Sanders continues to lead the 47th edition of the competition, today Ricky Brabec from the USA was the fastest defender of victory.

In his second start at the legendary competition, Drdaj continues to improve his results. In today’s stage, which the competitors entered after a day off, he was in the top ten for a long time, but at the end of the 605 km long special stage he dropped to 13th position. He was behind the fastest Brabec by 9:19 minutes.

This year’s first stage triumph went to Brabec, who is currently fourth. The leader Sanders has an advantage of 11:46 minutes over the second Spaniard Tosha Schareina. The additional cancellation of the eight-minute penalty from the 5th stage also helped him. Ross Branch from Botswana, who was fourth before today, retired after falling at the start of the stage.
