Moved into 2nd place with most career wins

The Los Angeles Lakers ended their three-game losing streak in impressive fashion on Wednesday night with an easy 119-101 victory over the San Antonio Spurs at Crypto.com Arena. Anthony Davis led the effort with a double-double (19 points, 14 rebounds), but the night belonged to LeBron James, who achieved yet another major milestone.

LeBron recorded his 6th triple-double of the season, with 16 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists, helping the Lakers win. While the win was a relief for coach JJ Reddick and the team, it had special meaning for James as he passed Tim Duncan to move into second place on the career wins list.

With this victory, James hit 1,159 in his career (976 wins in the regular season and 183 in the playoffs), surpassing Duncan’s 1,158. The only player ahead of him on the list is Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who holds the record with 1,228 wins.

The 39-year-old LeBron, who last year broke Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s career scoring record with 38,387, will need another 70 wins to break another all-time record.
