MSI released new QD-OLED gaming monitors for the MPG and MAG product families

The new member of the MPG family is the ultrawide class 341CPQX, while the MAG side gets the 271QPX E2 with a more traditional 16:9 aspect ratio.

MSI has released two new gaming monitors with Samsung’s QD-OLED panels. The company’s novelty displays are placed in the more affordable MPG and MAG product groups.

As the name suggests, the MSI MPG 341CQPX QD-OLED is a 34″ gaming monitor with an ultra-wide 3440×1440 resolution with a maximum refresh rate of 240 hertz. Variable refresh rate is supported via Adaptive-sync. The display has been awarded VESA’s ClearMR 13000 and DisplayHDR True Black 400 certificates and is promised to offer a 0.03 millisecond G2G response time and cover 99% of the DCI-P3 color space with Delta E ≤ 2 color accuracy.

The screen’s feature list includes, for example, a graphene film based on the company’s own design with a cooling urchin, as well as MSI OLED Care 2.0 and a 3-year Burn-In warranty. The use of several machines is possible with the same tricks thanks to the KVM switch, and it also includes questionable-sounding features such as AI Vision artificial intelligence features and Optix Scope zoom. You can get the picture on the screen with HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4b and USB-C (DP Alt-mode) connectors, and there is a hub for two USB-A ports.

The MSI MAG 271QPX QD-OLED E2, on the other hand, is equipped with a 27″ 2560×1440 resolution panel, which also reaches a maximum refresh rate of 240 hertz. The screen ticks the same boxes as its big brother, i.e. it offers ClearMR 13000 and DisplayHDR True Black 400 certificates, as well as Adaptive-sync support for a variable refresh rate. Color reproduction and response times are also identical.

The same features also continue in the form of OLED Care 2.0 and the Burn-In warranty, and artificial intelligence features and others have not been left behind. On the other hand, there is no support for the KVM feature or the USB hub on the screen. The display connectors are identical, i.e. HDMI 2.1, DP 1.4b and USB-C (DP Alt Mode).

MSI did not say exactly when the MPG 341CQPX or MAG 271QPX E2 will go on sale, nor their prices.
