Yesterday, December 27, MTS introduced a game console for cloud gaming. Today it became known that the first few thousand devices on the MTS Fog Play platform were sold out in just 14 hours from the start of sales.

MTS management promised that devices from the new batch will become available for purchase within two days. Also in the company’s latest press release, preliminary information on sales broken down by region appeared.
The gaming console from MTS, costing 4,990 rubles, was most in demand in Moscow and the region (65% of sales). Next in the ranking are St. Petersburg (10%), Novosibirsk (6%), Kazan (5%) and Krasnodar (4.5%).
“Our console has aroused great interest among Russian gamers. This suggests that cloud gaming is enough for modern users to get a comfortable gaming experience. First of all, this allows you to save a large amount. (…) And next year we plan to significantly increase sales volumes,” said MTS Cloud Gaming Director Ilya Tselikov.
The new product from MTS is built on the Amlogic S905Y4 chip. It also received 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory. The device displays images in Full HD resolution at 60 FPS. For a high-quality gaming experience, you need a stable Internet connection with a speed of 30 Mbit/s and authorization by phone number in the MTS Fog Play service.
