‘Mukti: Gen Z Revolution’, based on the story of the July revolution, is revealed

‘Mukti: Gen Z Revolution’, an eight-episode documentary based on the extraordinary story of the July Revolution, is being released on the official Facebook page of ‘The Front Page’. The first episode of which has recently been uploaded on the page (Click to watch the first episode)।

The documentary shows how the country’s student society in 2024 stood up against a 15-year-long dictatorship. The movement, which began as an outcry against growing inequality, eventually evolved into a youth-led revolution and dismantled traditional power structures.

The documentary showcases the unknown realities of July-August through exclusive interviews, various exclusive/unreleased footage and heartwarming narration.

This eight-episode documentary series follows the events from July 1 to August 5, showing the bravery and struggle of the youth in the face of violent repression and shelling. It depicts the quota movement, the tenacity of the youth, and their fight for justice.

Mukti: The Gen Z Revolution explores the behind-the-scenes moments of the movement and its efforts to ensure a gender-free future for generations to come. Key figures associated with the revolution, media personalities, digital strategists and representatives of the interim government are featured in the documentary and speak on various aspects of the movement.

The series analyzed the impact of the movement and its long-term significance along with the global and geopolitical context.

The documentary was produced by Beltway Grid and its international distributor Mico. It has highlighted various contexts and important moments of modern Bangladesh.
