The details behind the murder of the 68-year-old, who was found dead on Saturday morning (28/09) in the bedroom of his house, in Corfu, with his wife confessing to the crime, are shocking.
According to information from enikos.gr, the 49-year-old claimed to the authorities that the couple fought because the 68-year-old attacked her in order to rape her. Then, in her attempt to resist, she grabbed the kitchen knife and stuck it under the left collarbone.
As enikos.gr wrote earlierthe 68-year-old was found lying on the floor, supine and naked with a wound on his shoulder, in the bedroom of his house, while in a trash can were found in a bag the clothes of his 11-year-old daughter full of blood, as well as a knife.
It was about 03:30 in the morning on Saturday (28/09) when the victim’s 11-year-old daughter called 112and reported in a state of shock, that her father had recently returned home, having been at work earlier, and was seriously injured, possibly stabbed, and passed out.
EL.AS forces immediately rushed to the family’s house, where they found the 68-year-old lying on the bedroom floor in a supine position, naked with a wound under the left collarbone, while the EKAB station confirmed his death. Information indicates that his 49-year-old wife was also in the house.
The fact that around the house and more specifically in a trash can inside a bag is shocking the clothes of the victim’s 11-year-old daughter, full of blood, as well as a knife.
The incidents of domestic violence
As it emerged from the investigation, the couple has concerned the authorities for incidents of domestic violence in the last two years.
Specifically, on the evening of February 1, 2024, the 68-year-old went to A.T. Achilleion, and filed a lawsuit against his wife for “domestic bodily harm”, an act which took place inside their home in Perama, Corfu, as a result of which the 49-year-old woman was arrested.
On January 19, a lawsuit was filed with the AT. Achillion, by the 49-year-old against her husband, for “domestic bodily harm and threat”, acts which took place the previous two days, in the Perama area of Corfu, as a result of which the 68-year-old was arrested.
On July 14, 2022, the 68-year-old filed a lawsuit against his wife, for “Domestic bodily harm and Threats” “Defamation” and “Defacement of foreign property”, acts that took place between 8:30 p.m. 13-07-2022 until 1:00 p.m. on 14-07-2022, at Castellanos of Middle Corfu. The 49-year-old was arrested and then she also filed a lawsuit against her husband for “Domestic bodily harm and Threat” who was also arrested.
