Lionsgate Television is the studio responsible for producing such hit series as “Mad Men” and “Orange Is the New Black”. Some time ago, it entered into cooperation with Apple, which included, among others: series “Mythic Quest”. Apple has now announced that it will have a second season and a new spin-off next year.
“Mythic Quest” is a comedy series about a team working on a popular MMORPG game, led by a narcissistic and slightly eccentric creative director. Its authors are Rob McElhenney and Charlie Day, known primarily for “It’s Us in Philadelphia”. In the fourth season, returning after a break of over two years, the team separated in previous episodes will reunite to face both the challenges of the constantly changing computer games market and private problems. The premiere of new episodes is announced on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. There are three seasons so far available to watch in full on Apple TV+.
Apple also announced that on March 26, 2025, the day of the broadcast of the final episode of the fourth season of “Mythic Quest”, a spin-off of this series titled “Side Quest” (previously announced as “Mere Mortals”) will also debut on Apple TV+. constitute an expansion of the world presented in “Mythic Quest”, showing the stories not only of studio employees, but also of fans, players and other people who were in some way influenced by the game. The series is created by Ashly Burch (who plays Rachel in Mythic Quest), John Howell Harris and Katie McElhenney.
