DAPURPACUID – PT NETA Auto Indonesia held a ‘release’ ceremony for the first local production of Neta X, aka CKD (Completely Knocked Down), on September 13.
The symbolization of the first line-off celebration of Neta X was carried out at the PT Handal Indonesia Motor factory, Pondok Ungu, Bekasi, West Java, by Liu Lei, Vice President Overseas Business, and Peter Zhang, Managing Director of NETA Auto Indonesia.
This step is not only an important milestone for Neta X’s global journey, but also Indonesia as the first country outside China to have the opportunity to produce the electric car.
Neta X is also the next electric car to be produced locally in Indonesia and the second outside China, continuing the positive trend that has been carried out on NETA V-II in early 2024.
Liu said that the local production of Neta X was an important moment because it could realize one of the company’s commitments and strategic plans to develop a product line for the electric car market in Indonesia.
“We also thank PT Handal Indonesia Motor, which collaborated and supported the local assembly of the Neta X electric car,” he added.
As is known, the collaboration between NETA Auto and Handal Indonesia Motor is the first step in developing locally produced electric cars with international standards.
Not only to meet the needs of domestic consumers, NETA Auto also plans to make Indonesia an export base for Neta X to various other countries.
Currently, Neta X already has a Domestic Content Level (TKDN) of 44 percent, with the initial stage of NETA’s production capacity of 27,000 units per year.
On the other hand, cooperation with PT Gotion Green Energy Solutions Indonesia for the provision of electric car batteries, as a step to increase the development of local components to achieve higher TKDN standards and percentages in the future.
According to Zhang, cooperation with local partners is believed to be able to produce the best quality electric cars plus the use of local components that meet government regulations.
“That way we can encourage the development of the domestic component industry. Of course it will not stop here, because we are committed to continuing to present quality electric cars and premium after-sales services for all groups in Indonesia.”
With the start of the first local production of Neta X, NETA Auto Indonesia hopes to meet the demand for smart and environmentally friendly electric cars in the long term.
“In the future, we also hope that this factory can become a production base to support the export of Neta products from Indonesia to the world,” concluded Zhang.
Neta X as the latest line up was officially marketed in Indonesia through the GIIAS 2024 event. Positive responses from this Medium SUV were immediately received after visitors tried its performance directly.
During the GIIAS 2024 exhibition, NETA Auto also announced the pre-book Neta X plus various other benefits offered to visitors.
The benefits are in the form of a Lifetime Warranty, Free Wall Charging Station & Installation, as well as various other attractive promotions specifically for prospective Neta X consumers.
In the near future, NETA Auto will soon conduct a grand launching of Neta X, as well as the announcement of its official price in Indonesia in September 2024. (dpid/TH)
