Israel’s security cabinet will this evening adopt a 60-day ceasefire agreement with Lebanese Hezbollah, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced Tuesday evening, but said Israel would retain its ‘total freedom of action’ if Hezbollah violates the agreement, AFP and Reuters report.
“The duration of the ceasefire will depend on what happens in Lebanon, and we will maintain total freedom of action,” Netanyahu said in a televised speech.
According to Israeli television, the security cabinet, in a more restricted formula, has already approved the agreement.
