Israel’s Prime Minister, 75-year-old Benjamin Netanyahu, will have his prostate removed during an operation on Sunday.
This was announced by the Prime Minister’s Office on Saturday according to the AFP news agency.
Netanyahu was recently diagnosed with a urinary tract infection due to a benign enlargement of the prostate.

The Prime Minister’s Office warns that further details will come later.
The newspaper further writes that a cabinet meeting of the Israeli government will take place on Sunday as planned. However, it is not clear whether Netanyahu will participate.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu citing allegations of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
