Netanyahu promises five million dollars for each hostage

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during a visit to Gaza, once again offers the hostage takers five million dollars for the release of each hostage.

In addition, he promises those who release the hostages that they and their families can get out of the crisis-hit area.

According to Reuters, he emphasizes that Israel is not giving up on finding the remaining 101 hostages, who according to the Israeli authorities are still in Gaza.

– Choose. The choice is yours, but the result will be the same. We will get them all back, says Netanyahu.

He points out, according to the media The Times of Israel, that he wants the hostages home, whether they are alive or dead.

In addition, he says that the militant organization Hamas will no longer rule Gaza after the war is over. He claims that Israel has destroyed Hamas’s military capabilities.

– Anyone who dares to harm our hostages will have blood on their hands. We will hunt you down and catch you, says the Prime Minister.

Netanyahu says this in a video recording, which was filmed during his visit to Gaza.

Here, together with the Israeli Defense Minister, Israel Katz, and the head of the Israeli Defense Forces, Herzi Halevi, he received an update on the operational tasks.

According to the news agency dpa, Hamas has previously rejected the offer of payment for the hostages and called it frivolous.

For Hamas, only an agreement on an end to the war and the reconstruction of Gaza can lead to the release of the hostages.

On October 7, 2023, 251 people were kidnapped in Israel.

According to The Times of Israel, at least 34 of the hostages in Gaza have been declared dead by the Israeli Defense Forces.

In addition, according to the newspaper, Hamas has two Israeli civilians who went to Gaza in 2014 and 2015, and the bodies of two Israeli Defense Forces soldiers who were killed in 2014.
