Netflix has rolled out a new feature. Moments allows users to share or bookmark a specific part of a movie or series with others.
In the Netflix app for iOS, you can save a moment by tapping the screen once. In the screen with settings such as audio and subtitles, you will now also see a new Moments button. You press this to capture a specific part of a film or series, and with Save you actually save the part.
Netflix releases a special menu where all Moments clips are stored. This window also makes it easy to send a special link to friends or share it via social media, so they can also watch that moment.
Netflix Moments are also useful for yourself
As mentioned, you can also use Moments as a bookmark. Anyone who would like to revisit a specific event or scene can easily do so by adding a bookmark. Previously, it could sometimes happen that you had to search for a specific piece on other platforms such as YouTube.
This makes Moments an excellent marketing tool for Netflix. Not only do subscribers stay on the platform, but it is also possible to involve others in watching films and series. For example, the streaming service could recruit more subscribers.
iOS users can use Moments starting today. People with Android phones will get the feature in the coming weeks.
