Democratic Party donor and Netflix co-founder Reed Hastings has donated $7 million to Kamala Harris, who is widely seen as the Democratic Party’s representative in the presidential race that will take place on November 5.
Reuters reported that this was Hastings’ largest donation to a candidate, citing an anonymous source.
Hastings was one of the first major donors to publicly tell Biden to drop out of the presidential race.
Hastings had said in a post after Vice President Harris, who was also supported by Biden, announced her candidacy, “Congratulations to Kamala Harris, now is the time to win.”
