Shortly after YouTube announced price increases for Premium subscribers in Romania, Netflix follows the same path, increasing the price of subscriptions available to users in our country.
The new pricing scheme for Netflix subscriptions in Romania becomes the one below, with the following benefits included:
Basic subscription – €5.99 / month
- streaming in 720p resolution
- unlimited viewing time, no ads
- you can watch on one device at a time
- you can download content for offline viewing on one mobile device at a time
Standard subscription – €10.99 / month
- streaming at 1080p FullHD resolution
- unlimited viewing time, no ads
- you can watch on two devices simultaneously
- you can download content for offline viewing on two mobile devices simultaneously
- the option to add an Extra Member for €3.99
Premium subscription – €13.99 / month
- streaming in UltraHD 4K resolution with HDR and spatial 3D sound
- unlimited viewing time, no ads
- you can watch on four devices simultaneously
- you can download content for offline viewing on six mobile devices simultaneously
- the option to add two Extra Members for €3.99 / each
All three subscription types also give access to an ever-growing collection of mobile games through the Netflix apps available on Android, iOS and iPadOS operating systems.
Thus, the prices of the Basic and Standard subscriptions have increased by €1 per month compared to the previous ones, while the cost of the Premium subscription has been increased by €2 per month.
The option to add extra members was introduced last spring with new security measures imposed by Netflix, which removed the ability to share the account with people outside the subscription owner’s household. With this new wave of price increases, the prices for adding extra members outside the household have also increased by €1 per month for each new member added.
