The second season of The Squid Games is finally on Netflix. Starting today, December 26 at 9 am, Netflix released all seven episodes on its platform. What plot can the audience look forward to this time? The main face of the first series, Ki-hun aka player number 456, appears again in the story. The plot of the new series takes place three flows after the initial events, and the winner of the previous game is about to travel to the USA.
But in the end, he throws his plan behind him and returns to the deadly game with great determination. Ki-hun reappears in a room full of new players driven by the desire to win 45.6 billion won. Except for the main character, no one has any idea what they have to go through to win. And why did Ki-hun voluntarily return to the game?
A return full of twists and turns
As the creators of The Squid Game 2 themselves revealed, viewers can expect a story full of twists and turns and unexpected events. New obstacles must also be dealt with by Ki-hun, whose true motives for returning to the deadly game remain shrouded in mystery. But he definitely didn’t come back for the money. Will Ki-hun be able to succeed and successfully complete all the deadly games?
Familiar faces and new stars
The original series also pleased fans with a cast of actors who are not well known in Western culture. Nevertheless, they did a great job and won the hearts of many viewers. In the new series, we will therefore again meet actors like Jeong-jae Lee, Byung-hun Lee or David Lee. They repeat their roles. But the cast will be enriched by many new actors, for example Yim Si-wan, known from the boy band ZE:A, or South Korean star Kang Ha-neul.
