At the moment, we don’t have much information about the project. We know that it is an animated series based on the universe of the famous card game Magic: The Gathering and that it is currently in production with a new creative team in charge of the project.

We find there in particular: Terry Matalas as showrunnerknown among other things for the series 12 Monkeys and for seasons 2 and 3 of Star Trek: Picard. The series will be directed by Patrick Osborneto whom we owe in particular the animated short film The Feast.

Good news for those who thought the project had been abandonedespecially since Brandon Routh, who apparently lent his voice to the character of Gideon Jura, had recently suggested to Collider that the animated series would no longer see the light of day and that it was “ancient history”.
