Since the introduction of NETGEAR’s first WiFi 7 offering – the Nighthawk RS700S – multi-gig Internet speeds have become more accessible and affordable, and IoT devices that require ultra-low latency and higher throughput continue to see high levels of adoption. WiFi 7, which is 2.4 times faster than WiFi 6, offers improved performance to meet the ever-growing demands of modern connectivity. This next-generation technology supports higher capacity and offers faster speeds, near-zero latency and the ability to meet the needs of high-quality video streaming and advanced computing, including AI-driven applications and AR/VR experiences.

“WiFi 7 represents a huge leap forward in wireless technology, and adoption has been accelerating quickly with more and more WiFi 7 devices coming to market, including the recently announced iPhone 16,” said David Henry, President and GM of Connected Home Products and Services at NETGEAR.

Nighthawk WiFi-7-Portfolio

Each router features a slim chassis with patented, omnidirectional internal antennas that direct signals to the farthest reaches and provide 360-degree coverage. Everyone can choose the Nighthawk router that best suits their individual needs and budget to take advantage of the latest 2.5 or 10 gigabyte internet speeds.

The Nighthawk app is an easy way to configure WiFi for peak performance on priority devices, manage the network from anywhere, pause the internet, run internet speed tests, track internet data usage, set up separate guest networks, and more.

Network and device protection

With state-of-the-art encryption protocols and advanced threat detection mechanisms, NETGEAR routers are designed to be the first line of defense against cyber threats. They have security features like automatic firmware updates, VPN support, WPA3 security, access control, and WiFi guest network options.

For additional protection, the RS600, RS500 and RS200 include a 30-day trial of NETGEAR Armor Powered by Bitdefender. Unlike traditional endpoint antivirus products, Armor is built into the router as a security solution. Powered by cutting-edge artificial intelligence, Armor delivers real-time alerts when threats are detected and blocked and offers tailored recommendations.
