Danish discounter Netto is rolling out VusionGroup’s electronic labels in its stores. The goal for the brand is to optimize the shopping experience by providing clearer information to its customers.
Netto Denmark is deploying VusionGroup’s solutions to digitalize its 550 stores. These installations follow an initial implementation of the company’s technologies at Fotex and Bilka, brands of the parent company of the Danish discounter. The solutions installed in Netto’s points of sale are the SESimagotag smart electronic labels and the VusionCloud platform. The deployment will take place between the third quarter of 2024 and the second quarter of 2025.
The goal for Netto is to offer a better customer experience in its stores, by displaying relevant information about its products, promotions and brands. Consumers will thus be able to see the brand’s offers more clearly, which will be directly indicated on the labels on the shelves. This should make it easier to find the products they are looking for in store.
The integration of VusionCloud will allow Netto to remotely control and update electronic shelf labels, ensuring accurate pricing and more efficient promotion management in all stores in a secure environment. The deployment will leverage Cisco Meraki’s existing Wi-Fi infrastructure, for faster installation and a significant reduction in the carbon footprint associated with the solution.
Improving the advisor experience
In addition to optimizing the customer journey, the tools provided by VusionGroup aim to improve the experience of the brand’s employees. Indeed, lAutomation helps reduce manual tasks such as printing and replacing labels. This allows Netto teams to devote more time to customer service.
Alan Jensen, Executive Vice President, IT & Digital at Salling Group, said in a press release that the deployment helps the brand continue its goal of making “the more modern store for a better shopping experience”.
