Do you ever start typing a message and then completely forget about it? WhatsApp is trying to put an end to this with ‘Drafts’. From now on you will see it immediately if you have a message in a chat that has not yet been sent.
WhatsApp introduces concepts
We all send countless WhatsApp messages every day. So it’s no wonder that you forget one every now and then. Maybe you started it, but something came up. Or you were not yet satisfied and thought you would finish it later.
That is now a thing of the past. WhatsApp stores your writings and adds the word ‘Draft’ as long as you have not yet sent the message. When you scroll through your list of chats, you will immediately see if there are responses that you have not yet sent. The different color makes it stand out. Moreover, concepts are always at the top of the list.
Even if you close the app completely and then restart it, WhatsApp remembers your drafts. This prevents painful situations, for example if you wonder why you have not received an answer even though you never sent your original message.
There is one drawback: the function is not synchronized with other devices. If you save a draft on your smartphone, you will not see it in WhatsApp Web and vice versa. Hopefully that will change in the future.
WhatsApp continues to improve itself
WhatsApp is by far the most popular chat service in the Netherlands and regularly adds new features. This way you can easily plan events via the app and it is easier than ever to make stickers yourself.
WhatsApp will soon also introduce usernames, so you no longer have to share your phone number if you want to chat with someone. You can also look forward to colorful themes that allow you to adjust the color of your backgrounds and speech bubbles.
