Amazon customers in Germany get a new delivery option for their packages: slow but also cheaper.
By far the largest e-commerce company in Germany offers at checkout namely recently ‘Versand ohne Eile’.
It appears that the slow option only applies to Amazon Prime subscribers. That costs nine euros per month or ninety euros per year. One already exists Dutch translation of the function.
The new logistics feature allows Amazon to better plan the shipment of items from its distribution centers. It can distinguish between priorities.
Most consumers do not necessarily want to receive their packages as quickly as possible, but they prefer to determine on which day, time and location the order will arrive.
Emerce has asked Amazon’s PR team for more information and will update this article as soon as possible.
